---------------------------------------------------------------------

iCIS researchers at the kick-off meeting! With an official starting date of January 4th, 2013, the project aims at performing world class research in intelligent computing for the Internet of Services and Things.

kickoff-meeting

Research in iCIS will be focused in two complementary, yet interrelated, directions: advanced algorithms and infrastructures for information capture and management in the Internet, and intelligent algorithms for data analysis and knowledge extraction for smart Internet services. The former will investigate key solutions for the future internet related mainly to cloud computing, internet of services and things, internet security, and advanced software engineering, whereas the latter will concentrate on intelligent algorithms for data analysis and knowledge extraction over Internet-based solutions focusing on relevant scientific and socio-economical problems involving complex, multi-parametric and high volumes of data.
